There are plenty of places to stay that are nearby and reasonably priced. However, we encourage you to consider more than just price and proximity to TEDU when making your choice. Here are some options that we have curated for your consideration:
1. New Park Hotel: Placed just across the street from TEDU campus, this 5-star hotel offers a 15% discount for participants visiting for academic meetings at TEDU.
To get this discount with your stay at New Park Hotel, please reach out to ycelebi@npankara.com and let them know that you wish to make a reservation for this meeting.
2. Konur Hotel: Right in the middle of the lively Kızılay center, the 4-star Konur Hotel is near not only to the TEDU campus but also to metro stations, busses and other means of transportation.
3. Demora Hotel: Reputable and at a central location, the 4 star Demora Hotel is only a 5-min drive away with a taxi or with means of mass transportation.
You can always take a cab from the airport and give directions to go to TED University in Kolej, Çankaya. The campus is near “Kurtuluş Parkı” (a major park in downtown Ankara) so that can be added to the address description. However, most taxis are integrated into the Uber app, so you can also use Uber. Keep in mind that the taxi will be the most costly option.
Alternative and cheaper means of transportation are also available, and they will take you from ESB to Kızılay (downtown Ankara).
Afterwards, it is an approximately 10-minute walk down Ziya Gökalp Street to get to campus. If you’d rather not walk, then you can also take a taxi or go down the metro station to get on the Ankaray rail. With Ankaray, you will go only one stop, from “Kızılay” to “Kolej”. The campus is right behind the Kolej station exit.
